The Hobbit

Have you read the book? Well, you have to so you can understand parts of the movie!!!!!
The book is not for everyone because a lot of people I know though it was boring and that Lord of The Rings is better. You always have to give it a try though.

So The Hobbit is about a halfling (hobbit) named Bilbo Baggins which lives in middle Earth who is tricked into an adventure by Gandalf (the grey wizard) to re-conquer a city which the dwarfs lost by a dragon. I think that pretty much sums it up.

I recently i watched the movie and it was just as good as the book, it was a Peter Jackson film which means that it connects to the Lord of The Rings more than any other director because he directed those films. I am happy about that because it makes more sense.

Read the book and watch the movie afterwards, its a better sequence.

Continue your love of books!

My top ten favourite books

hello,
these are my top five books:
  1. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (I have a post on it)
  2. Hunger Games (I have a post on it)
  3. Series of Unfortunate Events (I have a post on it)
  4. Pinocchio (the original)
  5. The Hobbit (part one of the movie just came out, but you MUST read the book to understand things in the movie)

I would love to know what your top five favourite books are so that I can try them out

Book Trailers

Have you ever heard of book trailers? I have!! I just found out about them last year during my ICT class in school!

Book Trailers are basically trailers that people make of their/others' books. I have seen a few of them. This is how I found out about Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. When someone makes a book trailer they either get people to act or they make a cartoon. I heard they also have a yearly competition for the best book trailers!!! You know that you guise can make YOUR own book trailers too, there are plenty of sites to help you do that!!

Series of Unfortunate Events

hiiiiiiii,
Have you guise read the Series of Unfortunate events?? Because you must!!!!!!!!!!
It took me ages to finish reading the series, in fact I only just finished reading them two years ago and I started about three years before that! This series will keep you VERY busy.

Lets get to the point,
the Series of Unfortunate Events is a series with thirteen books which each have thirteen chapters (except for last book) and they are written by Lemony Snicket. Each book has thirteen of everything because it is meant to be unlucky (just warning you that it is a very depressing series with an annoying ending). These books grab your attention for days and days. The three main characters are Violet(the eldest), Klaus(pronounced cl-owse, the middle), and Sunnny(the little girl baby) Baudelaire. Their parents die at the bad beginning and the evil Count Olaf keeps planning schemes against them so that he can get their money. I don't want to give too much away though!

Happy Reading!

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Have you guise read the book????? You must before the movie comes out!!!! Oh and guess who is directing it? Tim Burton!!!! Maybe the movie will have Johnny Depp because they are best friends and a lot of Tim Burton's movies have Johnny Depp so cross your fingers!!!

Anyway, the book is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd, well you get the point.
I was into it from the first sentence, literally. It was something like, just when I thought my life was going to be normal I realised it wasn't. Isn't that a good start!!! It wasn't one of those books which take a chapter to get to the good stuff, don't you just hate those?. By the way I just found out Ransom Riggs(the author)is writing a sequel and its coming out this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Here is a picture of what the book looks like:

About the movie, if any of you guise have already read the book you will understand this, I have thought about which actors/actress' could play the characters, this is what I have so far:

Jacob: Logan Lerman-from that lightning theif movie from Percy Jackson
Emma: Emma Roberts-well you know her, I know her name is Emma to but I think she suits the character
the main wight: Johnny Depp, I think he would suit to be honest, I can't find another spot for him

I have no idea about Miss Peregrine and the other characters though, still thinking. I will make sure to keep you guise updated about the movie and when the second book comes out.

Oh, and please comment on what you guise think about who should play the characters and the other stuff
